On the northern side of Mariager Fjord, just a half-hour sail from Hadsund, you'll find the small and atmospheric Vive Harbour. Just a 10-minute drive from the harbour is Hadsund, offering a good selection of shops, restaurants, and cafés. Or set your course towards Hobro, located about 20 km from Vive. Hobro is known as the Viking town, where you can visit the Fyrkat ring fortress, built during the reign of King Harald Bluetooth.
If you enjoy hiking, head to Bramslev Bakker, where you'll find scenic trails through hilly landscapes with views of the fjord. Among them is the Panorama Route – one of the most beautiful hiking trails in Europe.
