Hadsund Marina

Welcome to Hadsund Marina – surrounded by the fjord, idyllic forests, and exceptional experiences.

If you sail in from Kattegat, Hadsund is the first marina you’ll reach on Mariager Fjord – also known as Denmark’s most beautiful fjord. Surrounded by idyllic beech forest, peace, and serenity, Hadsund Marina is a must-visit for every sailor.

Here you’ll find an open and friendly atmosphere: it’s easy to meet others and you’re always greeted with a smile. Hadsund Marina is one of the most modern on the fjord, attracting both leisure sailors and some of the country’s top competitive sailors.

Much has changed since Hadsund was a bustling commercial port – but some things remain. You’ll still meet the old harbour master, happy to answer questions and ensure your stay is memorable.

Modern facilities & close to town

The marina’s facilities are top-notch, including a newly renovated clubhouse with kitchen and a lovely terrace – perfect for enjoying a homemade meal. Not far from the terrace is a playground, where children and the young at heart can let off steam.

As a special bonus, you can borrow bikes at the harbour office. Hop on and explore the local gastronomy. Just 2 kilometres across the fjord, you’ll find Hadsund Færgekro, offering high-quality traditional inn cuisine with views of the water.

A five-minute ride brings you to Hadsund town centre, full of local charm, good shops, and cozy cafés. A visit to Café Piccolo comes highly recommended – they offer a wide range of tasty sandwiches, salads, and burgers.

Things to do in and around Hadsund

In Hadsund there’s something for every taste – nature, culture, or just relaxation. Discover Havnø Mill, North Jutland’s oldest working windmill, set in a picturesque landscape – a perfect stop on a bike ride. Today it operates as a living museum where you can go inside and see the mill at work, free of charge.

Hadsund is also known for its wildlife garden, where you can greet deer and pet goats. The garden is just 2 kilometres from the marina.

Linddalene and the Ajstrup Bay are ideal for walks. Linddalene offers woodlands, while the trail at Ajstrup Bay leads you through interesting nature with rare plants and abundant birdlife.

By bike, you can also take the Hadsund Route – an 11 kilometre scenic ride between Gistrup and Hadsund. What was once the old railway between Aalborg and Hadsund is now a beautiful cycling path. Along the way there are toilets, fire pits and benches – perfect for taking a break.

Experience everything Hadsund has to offer.
