Between the Limfjord and Frederik VII's Canal lies the Limfjord Museum, where from April to October you can experience a variety of activities with a focus on the fjord.
In the old canal superintendent's residence and in the Maritime Experience Center, there are exciting exhibitions about life in, around and on the fjord. For example, you can experience the museum's large touch pool where you can pet a flatfish and tickle a crab. In the canal by the museum, you can board a number of original Limfjord vessels and visit the UNESCO-certified Historical Boatyard, where you can witness the restoration of the old clinker-built boats.
Throughout the summer, you can look forward to guided boat trips with the Countess Danner, guided city walks with the Watchman's Guild, guided bike tours and trips to the distillery - as well as plenty of activities for children: borrow nets, crab sticks and other fishing gear, try cooking and tasting your catch, and try dissecting a fish, snorkel safari and play on the maritime playground.

UNESCO recognized clinker boat building
Limfjordsmuseet actively works with clinker boat building, which is an old method of building wooden boats. The building technique is UNESCO recognized and therefore a cultural heritage that must be preserved. Limfjordsmuseet displays and communicates clinker boat building.
