Løgstør Marina

Welcome to Løgstør Marina – an intimate, town-centre harbour on the coast of the Limfjord. Here you’ll find maritime experiences, culinary delights, and an authentic atmosphere.

Experience Løgstør along the Limfjord coast, where you can moor in the charming marina. The harbour is beautifully situated at the entrance to the protected Frederik VII’s Canal.

Løgstør Marina may not be among the largest in the Limfjord, but it offers an authentic and intimate atmosphere that is hard to find elsewhere. The town has much to offer – from freshly caught mussels and maritime history to exciting experiences and stunning sunsets over the fjord. It’s the perfect stop on a sailing trip around Himmerland.

The harbour offers excellent facilities such as a sailors’ lounge, free Wi-Fi, and modern bathing and toilet facilities.

When summer arrives, the town comes alive. The harbour, the fjord, and the lively streets attract both locals and visitors from near and far – especially thanks to the many events taking place throughout the season, including Canal Jazz, Mussel Harvest Festival, and the popular Mussel Festival in July.

Gastronomy in Løgstør

From the harbour, it’s only a short walk to the lively town centre, where you can explore interesting shops, cosy cafés, and excellent restaurants. Gastronomy is a key part of Løgstør’s identity, and you’ll find the town’s pride – fresh Limfjord mussels – on many menus.

Right on the harbour you’ll find Kulgaarden, offering a wide selection of delicious dishes at reasonable prices. Follow the canal and you’ll reach Kanalfogedens Køkken, known for freshly caught fish and seafood.

A little further from the harbour, overlooking Løgstør Golf Club, you can enjoy classic Danish cuisine in the pleasant surroundings of Løgstør Parkhotel.

Experiences in and around Løgstør

Løgstør is synonymous with maritime attractions and activities – not least at the Limfjord Museum, where the whole family can explore the fjord’s rich history and life. The museum, located in the old canal bailiff’s house, features exhibitions about life in, around, and on the fjord.

In July and August, you can join guided boat tours and hear the fascinating story of Frederik VII’s Canal and its importance to the town. Or take part in a guided town walk through the historic streets with the local night watchmen’s guild, taking you back to the 18th century.

You can also rent bicycles at the Limfjord Museum to easily explore the beautiful landscape in and around Løgstør. From the harbour, you can follow the canal all the way to Lendrup, a peaceful summer cottage area.

North of Løgstør, across the Aggersund Bridge, you’ll find a true piece of Danish history – Aggersborg, Denmark’s largest Viking ring fortress, dating back to the time of King Harald Bluetooth. Explore it on your own or join one of the many fascinating guided tours.
