Kongsdal Marina
Visit Kongsdal Marina, a lovely oasis by Mariager Fjord. Here, you're close to scenic hiking trails and historic towns.
All harbors along Mariager Fjord have their own unique character and each adds charm to what is known as Denmark’s most beautiful fjord. Some harbors are large, some are small, and others fall somewhere in between. Kongsdal Marina belongs to the latter category in terms of size, but it might just have some of the most beautiful, visible, and unique landmarks among the fjord’s harbors. A real lighthouse – brought here from Thyborøn – and a large, striking harbor logo made from natural materials warmly welcome visitors.
Modern facilities
The facilities at Kongsdal Marina are excellent and provide a great setting for your stay. You'll find a clubhouse, a dining hall, restrooms and showers, as well as a playground and an outdoor kitchen. Bicycles are also available for borrowing, making it easy to take the short ride – just 1.5 kilometers – to Dania. There, you can admire the charming yellow workers' houses and experience the town’s rich industrial history, once home to three cement factories.
Close to town and nature
Several scenic hiking routes of various lengths start directly from the harbor. The Kongsdal Route stretches 2.1 kilometers and takes you through open fields with views of the fjord. You can also try the Fladbjerg Route, which passes through the small villages of Kongsdal, Dania, and Fladbjerg. Or take the Little Fjord Route, a 4.2-kilometer trail that winds through fields, a fruit plantation, and beautiful forested areas.
Kongsdal Marina is perfectly situated between Hadsund and Mariager, two towns full of life and charm. Here you’ll find cozy cafés, great restaurants, and a variety of shops.
In historic Mariager, you can explore old half-timbered houses, visit the Mariager Monastery Church, or experience salt production firsthand at the Mariager Salt Center.
