The Fladbjerg Route is a scenic hiking and cycling trail spanning 8.3 km through some of the most idyllic surroundings in Mariager. The well-marked route begins and ends at Kongsdal Marina, a small harbor with a charming atmosphere. From the harbor, the trail follows the banks of Mariager Fjord, which is Denmark’s longest fjord.
Along the way, you pass through the small village of Dania, known for its unique history. Dania is home to well-preserved historic buildings that tell the story of the town’s old cement industry. From Dania, the route continues down to the small village of Fladbjerg, where it again follows the fjord and leads you back to Kongsdal Marina.
The trail offers several scenic spots equipped with picnic tables and benches, allowing you to take a break and enjoy your packed lunch. Here, you can rest, recharge, and take in the beautiful landscape before continuing your journey through the delightful nature around Mariager.
