The history of HimmerLand Resort
When Lars Larsen acquired the assets of HimmerLand in 2007, the resort quickly evolved from a golf course in Gatten into a resort focusing on golf and spa experiences. Since then, the resort has continued to grow, and in 2014 it hosted the international golf tournament Made in Denmark for the first time. The tournament was later renamed Made in HimmerLand.
In 2020, plans for a major expansion of HimmerLand were set in motion, reflecting the ambition to become a fully fledged resort with an international outlook. HimmerLand was to offer much more than golf and spa, which led Lars Larsen Group to invest further in the resort, adding padel and tennis courts, a football pitch and a multi-purpose sports hall. The hall features a golf simulator studio, a large conference hall, sports facilities, a fitness centre, a rooftop activity area and a range of meeting rooms.
Today, HimmerLand is owned by Lars Larsen Group.
