When Lars Larsen in 2007 took over the interests in HimmerLand, the resort quickly went from a golf course in Gatten to a resort with focus on golf and spa.
Since then, the resort has evolved even further, and in 2020, the expansion of HimmerLand picked up its pace. That is why Lars Larsen Group invested further in the resort and added padel courts, tennis, football facilities, more hotel rooms, and a multipurpose arena.
Today the resort is owned by Lars Larsen Group.

HimmerLands historie
Da Lars Larsen i 2007 overtog aktiverne i HimmerLand, gik resortet hurtigt fra en golfbane i Gatten til et resort med fokus på golf og spa. Siden har resortet kun udviklet sig yderligere, og i 2014 kunne man første gang byde velkommen til den internationale golfturnering Made in Denmark, som sidenhen skiftede navn til Made in HimmerLand.
I 2020 blev planerne for HimmerLands udvidelse, som skulle matche resortets ambition om at blive et helhjertet resort med internationalt fokus, for alvor sat i gang. HimmerLand skulle være mere end golf og spa, hvorfor Lars Larsen Group valgte at investere yderligere i resortet og tilføre både padelbaner, tennis, fodboldbane og en multihal. I Multihallen er der både golfsimulator-studie, stor konferencesal, halfacilitet, fitnesscenter, aktivitetstag og en masse mødelokaler.
