Enjoy a peaceful overnight stay surrounded by nature at Baneskovens Friluftscenter in Aars. The shelter site is ideal for families, hikers, cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts looking for a simple and authentic nature experience in Himmerland.

The site offers two shelters accommodating up to 12 people, a covered campfire shelter for approximately 30 people, and a fire pit for cooking and gathering around the fire.

The area is accessible for visitors with reduced mobility, wheelchair users and families with prams.

From 14 August 2026, guests also have access to an outdoor kitchen, drinking water and toilet facilities at the nearby Naturrum Cimbrerhøjen.

Located in scenic surroundings near Aars, the shelter site is an excellent base for hiking and cycling in Himmerland. Please check current regulations and any booking requirements before your visit.
