Færgehagen beach and swimming pier, Mariager

Færgehagen is a peaceful and family-friendly beach by the Mariager Fjord, where you can enjoy swimming all year round. Access to the beach is by foot only.

The beach features a solid and elegant all-season swimming pier that extends approximately 51 meters into the fjord. At the end of the pier, the water depth is around 1.8 meters, making it ideal for both swimming and winter bathing. The pier is built with durable materials and has a beautiful wooden deck, as well as a round platform in the middle inspired by a historic Birgitta emblem.

The area is perfect for both locals and visitors looking for a tranquil swimming experience in scenic surroundings.

Parking

If you arrive by car, you can park at Mariager Havn or at the parking lot of Mariager Kayak Club. From here, you can walk along Ny Havnevej through Mariager Camping (only until 10:00 PM when the site closes to external guests).

You can also choose to walk via the gravel road Færgehagevej, which you will find on the other side of the heritage railway near the bus terminal.

When you arrive at Færgehaven, the lovely beach with a bathing bridge is free for your use.
