Shelter at Café Bondestuen by Aggersborg
Stay overnight in a shelter near Aggersborg and wake up to views of the Limfjord and the open countryside. Here, you are close to nature, the UNESCO-listed Viking ring fortress Aggersborg, and exciting experiences for the whole family.

Spend the night in scenic surroundings in the backyard of Café Bondestuen, overlooking the Limfjord and the surrounding countryside. The shelter is free to use and accommodates 4–6 people on a first-come, first-served basis.
Next to the shelter, you will find a composting toilet with toilet paper. During Café Bondestuen’s opening hours, you are also welcome to use the restaurant’s toilets and refill your water bottle free of charge. Right beside the shelter is a cosy playground with a playhouse, ball field, mini golf, mooncars and a trampoline, making it an ideal spot for families with children.
The shelter area also features a campfire site with a cast-iron grill – just remember to bring your own firewood. When hunger strikes, you can enjoy a meal in the restaurant or treat yourself to an ice cream from the ice cream kiosk.
The area offers exciting experiences for the whole family. Just a few kilometres from the shelter lies the impressive Viking ring fortress of Aggersborg, which was inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 2023. Built around the year 980 during the reign of King Harald Bluetooth, Aggersborg is the largest of Denmark’s known Viking ring fortresses.
