Gedsted Church

South of Farsø, you'll find the village of Gedsted, worth a visit in Himmerland with its medieval church.

In 1922, the church became Denmark's first village church with a clock tower and carillon. Every day at 12:00, you can hear the 8 bells play the melody "Dagen går med raske fjed."

The church stands as one of Vesthimmerland's beautiful medieval churches with side aisles and a tower as later Gothic additions.

Service every Sunday at 9:30 AM or 11:00 AM unless otherwise specified. Opening hours: 8 AM - 4 PM on weekdays. Please contact the sexton beforehand.
